Founded in 1991, Tubbercurry is a challenging nine-hole golf course. Its feature hole is the 6th, a 158-metre par 3 played from an elevated tee-box to a difficult green below, with spectacular views of the Ox Mountains and surrounding countryside.

This 6,700-yard links is not a simple out and back affair — the holes snake up and down through the dunes in all directions, and as with any coastal course, the wind always plays its part. Eddie Hackett created a high-spirited golf course and it’s a layout that you cannot help but enjoy. Include County Sligo, Enniscrone and Connemara on your itinerary alongside Carne, and you’ve played four of the most naturally beautiful links courses in the world.

Donegal Golf Club, often called “Murvagh Links,” is a magnificent championship course on the Murvagh Peninsula, jutting into Donegal Bay. Designed by Eddie Hackett and refined by Pat Ruddy, this par-73 links stretches over 7,400 yards, making it one of Europe’s longest. Notable holes include the demanding par-3 5th, “Valley of Tears.” Darren Clarke, the 2011 Open Champion, hails it as “one of my favourite courses in the world.”

Located in the shadow of Croagh Patrick, Ireland’s holy mountain, the course boasts fantastic views of the surrounding area from its elevated position above the shore of Clew Bay. Measuring 6,980 yards in length and with five par-five holes, Westport is a demanding track that will test even the longest of hitters off the tee.
