Is the cottage self-catering at Temple House good for families?

Yes, the cottage has 2 double and 2 twin bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms. There is a large kitchen, sitting room and private garden.

Can I use the Temple House Estate facilities?

You are welcome to explore the estate grounds and use the rowing boats on the lake.

Does the cottage have washing and drying facilities?

Yes, there is a washer dryer, as well as a clothes line in the garden.

Are there televisions and DVD players?

There is a TV with free Irish and UK channels. The smart TV can also be used to stream – fair usage of WiFi applies.

Are pets allowed in the cottage at Temple House?

No pets please.

Is there a minimum night stay?

There is a minimum charge which is the equivalent to 3 nights. You can still stay for 2 nights though.

Is the cottage Accessible?

The cottage has a downstairs twin room and a downstairs bathroom with walk-in shower. It is not certified as accessible though. The doors are of standard width.

Are there cots available?

A cot can be provided by arrangement.

What time is check-in /check-out?

Check in 15.30-19.30 and check out by 10.30 please.

Will my cottage at Temple House be serviced?

The cottage is let on a self catering basis and no cleaning is included.

Is there anywhere I can dine nearby?

There are a couple of simple solutions in Ballymote but your options are greater in Sligo town. See Dine Out.

Where are the nearest shops?

Ballymote has a petrol station and Supervalu Supermarket. There is a Centra in Collooney. There is more choice again in Sligo town.

Do I need a car?

Yes, if you intend to tour or need provisions. The cottage is located in the countryside.

Is there a BBQ available?

It is better and more convenient if you buy a disposable one. There are picnic benches in the garden for you.
